Welcome to the Soledad Community Health Care District’s website! We have a rich and fascinating history and are your Community Health Care District. Organized in 1948, in early years the district’s service was limited to providing ambulance service. As years passed, efforts were directed at establishing a medical clinic and skilled nursing facility to serve the community. This was accomplished by taking over an existing clinic and in 1989 a new modern clinic was opened to meet the growing needs of Soledad and the surrounding areas. In 1993 Eden Valley Care Center was established. Flash forward to 2007. Last year we provided over 20,000 visits to men, women, children and seniors resident of the growing South County area. We are governed by a five member elected board of trustees, and assisted by dedicated members of the Soledad Community Health Care District Foundation. Due to our non-profit status, grants are able to support innovative programs and to purchase state-of-the-art equipment to better serve our community members. For a complete history, click here. |
